- life goes on, anyway
life goes on, anyway
hey -
there’s something about the thought of ‘life goes on, anyway’ that gives me a sense of relief.
especially in the case of moving on. it’s a daunting process.
when we move on from a previous chapter in our lives, we’re not just letting go of the chapter itself. we’re letting go of what would’ve been, what we should’ve done, what could still be.
we let go of the potential, and that’s probably what hurts the most: our hope.
BUT…….life will go on anyway, whether you like it or not.
you’ll move on whether you’ll like it or not, or maybe you won’t. that’s cool too.
ultimately it doesn’t matter, because life will go on anyway.
so we could either sit and remain mentally stuck in the past, or allow ourselves the satisfaction and freedom into the present.
that future could be exactly what we’re looking for. it could be exactly what we want. but we just never know until we allow ourselves to live it.
ultimately, that’s all we can do at this point because life will go on anyway.
time will always pass, the sun will always set.
we can’t do anything about it. the best we can do is adjust to it.
and you should learn to adjust to it, because you deserve to.
you deserve to live.
so, embrace it. learn to enjoy it. breathe the air. take a walk. eat some food. drink some water. laugh. why not?
what else can we do? what else should we do?
it’s not a crime to enjoy yourself every once in a while, even if you’ve convinced yourself or been convinced of otherwise.
it’s never a crime to live.
see you then.
